Is my site down, or is it just me?
Type your web address. We check it from outside your network and tell you, in plain English, whether it is broken for everyone or just for you, and what to do about it.
Free, instant, no signup. Checked live from Melbourne, Australia.
Got it. The clock is running.
Your brief just landed in Melbourne. If it is evening where you are, that is our working day: expect a reply while you sleep, not a ticket number.
While you are here, one more thing worth doing:
Watch my site 24/7 US$19.97/mo
We watch your site every five minutes from outside your network: downtime, certificate expiry, speed drift. You get alerted the moment something breaks and a plain-English health report every month. Watching only, no lock-in; cancel any time.

Brief tonight, fixed by your morning, or it is free. The fee is credited in full against any care plan.
Overnight speed rescue US$500-750, credited
Go to bed slow, wake up fast. We tune hosting, images and code overnight and show you the before and after numbers.
Done. That is logged with your details: the payment link and your first report land in your inbox within one Melbourne business day.
Reachability
Does your site’s address resolve, and does the server answer the door? If not, we say which of the two failed, because the fixes are different.
Security certificate
Expired or mismatched certificates make browsers show visitors a warning page. We read the certificate and tell you how many days it has left.
Speed of first response
Slow is the invisible outage. A cared-for site starts answering in about 0.3 seconds. We time yours and show you the gap.

How do I know if my website is down for everyone or just me?
Use a checker that tests your site from a different location, like the one on this page. If we can reach your site but you cannot, the problem is on your side: try another network, a private browser window, or restarting your router. If we cannot reach it either, it is down for everyone and needs fixing at the server end.
Why is my website not loading?
The four usual causes, in order of how often we see them: the server has crashed or been suspended, the domain has expired or its DNS is broken, the security certificate has expired so browsers refuse to show the page, or the site is up but so slow that browsers give up. Each one shows a different fingerprint in a check like ours.
What does it mean when the DNS does not resolve?
DNS is the internet’s address book. When your domain does not resolve, the address book has no entry for your site, so no browser anywhere can find it. Common causes are an expired domain registration or broken settings after a hosting change. It is also what happens when a web agency disappears and takes the DNS login with it.
Why does my site say Not Secure?
Your security certificate has expired or does not match your address. The site may actually be running, but browsers show visitors a warning page first, and most people turn back. Renewing or reissuing the certificate fixes it, usually within the hour.
What should I do first when my website goes down?
Check whether it is down for everyone or just you, then note any error message word for word. Then contact whoever hosts the site. If you do not know who hosts it, or the person who built it is no longer answering, that is exactly the situation we rescue businesses from: brief us by 5pm and it is usually diagnosed overnight.
How fast should a website respond?
A well-cared-for site starts answering in about a third of a second. Once the first response takes more than a full second, visitors feel it; past three seconds, Google’s research found more than half of mobile visitors give up. Slow is not broken, but it quietly costs you money every day.
When the answer is bad news
A down site is an emergency with a clock on it. We diagnose and fix websites overnight, Melbourne time, which means a brief sent at the end of your day is usually sorted while you sleep. If your web person has vanished, we have rebuilt from less than you think survives.
